Location
The University is located at Lismore, Tweed Gold Cost and Coffs Harbour. These are all beautiful natural regions on the east coast of Australia in northern New South Wales. As regional centres they all have the facilities you’d expect from a centre of population, as well as the benefits of coastal beaches, rainforests and rural countryside.
Campuses
Lismore campus is a modern, 60-hectare facility just minutes from town centre. The campus offers a range of student services including medical and dental, counselling, recreation, sports and live entertainment facilities. The campus hosts a range of research centres and institutes as well as providing state-of-the-art teaching and learning resources.
Coffs Harbour campus sits on the mid-north coast alongside TAFE and secondary school facilities. The campus hosts the University’s English language college and offers a range of student services including medical, counselling, sports and dining. Located a short distance from town centre, the campus also hosts the International Office and is affiliated with the National Marine Science Centre.
Tweed Gold Coast campus is located near Coolangatta, about an hour’s drive from Brisbane and 80 minutes from Lismore. This campus hosts the postgraduate business, tourism and hotel management courses. The waterfront facilities are purpose-built, linking by videoconferencing facilities to the other campuses. Facilities also include 7-day campus access, 24/7 internet access, medical and counselling services, sports and recreation and easy access to the shops and services in town.

English Courses
Southern Cross offers English Academic Preparation courses at each of its three campuses.
Entry Requirements
English language requirements:- undergraduate admission generally requires an overall IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; postgraduate coursework admission generally requires an IELTS of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; postgraduate research generally requires an overall IELTS of 7.0 with no
band less than 6.5.
Academic requirements:- undergraduate admission generally requires the successful completion of the equivalent of Year 2 High School; postgraduate admission generally requires successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree and possibly relevant work experience.

Enrolment dates
The University operates on a three-session academic year.
Session 1 – February; Session 2 – June; Session 3 – November
Specific dates may vary depending on the course. One of AA Education Network’s counsellors can help you with these dates. Generally it’s best to apply well before your intended commencement date.
Student activities
Each campus has recreation and entertainment facilities and a range of possible acitivites. Students also organise informal social activities among themselves and each campus is located in a beautiful environment near a lively regional centre which provide many opportunities for interesting and enjoyable social and recreational activities.
